Gujarat and Andhra Pradesh are the two states in India who produce maximum amount of ground nuts.  

The cultivation and growth of ground nuts as a plantation hugely and significantly depends on the rainfall as that is one of the major contributory factors of its good breeding and growth, and hence, deviation and fluctuation in the amount of rains in the region significantly affects the production of ground nuts.

Gujarat accounts for almost 50% of the total production and Andhra Pradesh contributes 12% to 13% of it.
