putting the values
I=I1+I2+I3

V/R= {1/R1 +1/R2 +1/R3}
I/R= I/R1 +I/R2+I/R3
we may conclude that reciprocal of the equivalent resistance joined is equal to the sum of reciprocals of individual resistance.
