Different important stages in the life cycle of silk moth are -

1) Egg - egg is the 1st stage of the silk worms life cycle.

2) Larvae - the larval stage lasts for 27 days. Young silkworms can only feed upon tender mulberry leaves.

3) Cocoon - This is a stage in which larvae spins silk thread around it .

4) Adult moth - Once the adult moth comes out of its cocoon , its only purpose is to find the member of the opposite sex and mate
