Explanation:

Latitude determines the evaporation of the certain region, more evaporation and more precipitation in tropics so more water evaporated in the region but the precipitation amount is same in that region so salinity remains constant. When evaporation exceeds precipitation, salinity will become high and when precipitation exceeds evaporation, salinity will remains low. Influx of fresh water to the ocean makes the drastic difference in salinity which leads to decrease in the salinity of ocean. Ocean current is the specific water path in the ocean which makes significance difference through flow of water. Landlocked country has more salinity than open ocean because of less influx of water and more evaporation.
