1- Chemical factor : Tobacco and betal chewing cause oral cancer. Heavy smoking causes oral cancer, cancer of larynx and lungs. Combustion product of coal and pesticides, artificial flavour, sweeteners, synthetic food, add flavour, hormonal imbalance in body cause cancer.

2- Physical factor : Sharp teeth causes tongue cancer.

3- Radiation factor : Cosmic rays, X-rays, and UV rays

4- Biological factors : Oncogenes, oncovirus
