The functional group is 'Ketone' , which can never occupy terminal position.
It is the functional group in which the oxygen atom is attached to the any carbon atom except terminal ones. If the oxygen atom forms bond with the terminal carbon atom of a organic compound then the functional group is know as 'Aldehyde group'
