Inverness is the name of Macbeth's castle. In Act I, Scene 4, Duncan makes known his intention to visit Macbeth there when he says in lines 42-43, "From hence to Inverness, and bind us further to you". It is Lady Macbeth who plants the daggers on the grooms.
