HELLO!!

ANSWER:

ENVIRONMENTAL INDICATORS:

The five indicators are biological diversity, food production, average global surface temperature and CO2 concentrations in the atmosphere, human population, and resource depletion.

BIO-INDICATOR:

Bioindicators are species that can be used as a measure of some aspects of an ecosystem's health. The species' population or health may be a proxy for the ecosystem's health.

For example, lichens are often used as indicators of air quality. Since they don't have roots and get a lot of their nutrients from the air, they are a trustworthy indicator of an area's air quality. Another example is some algal species being used as measures of water pollution. Additionally, we now have genetically engineered some species to be specific bioindicators, like grass that changes color when soil toxins are present!

The indicators which are used to measure the achievement of environmental objects are called environmental indicators.

Some important indicates are listed below,

DBR- Depletion of Biotic Resources

GW- Global warming

HST –Human Soil Toxicity

AET- Aquatic Eco toxicity

ARC- Acid Rain Compounds

EMN-Eutrophication by Macronutrients

HWT- Human Water Toxicity

The indicators used to measure the quality and characteristics of environmental conditions or ecosystem are called bio indicators.

Example: Plant indicator – Fungi and algae.
