Name some sources of direct current.

aryankunalroy: Direct current (DC) can also be generated by means other than batteries. Solar cells, fuel cells, and even some types of generators can provide DC current. DC, or direct current means the electrical current is flowing in only one direction in a circuit. Batteries are a good source of direct current (DC).

Alternating Current (AC) is a type of electrical current, in which the direction of the flow of electrons switches back and forth at regular intervals or cycles. Current flowing in power lines and normal household electricitythat comes from a wall outlet is alternating current.

Dear Student,

There are two types of current - alternating current (AC) and direct current (DC).

● Direct current (DC) -

  • Current which flows in only one direction is called direct current.

● Sources of direct current -

Direct current is produced by

  1. Fuel cells
  2. Dry cell
  3. Solar cell
  4. Battery
  5. Dynamo
  6. Rectified AC
  7. Wind power plants
  8. Static electricity

Thanks dear for asking. Hope this is helpful to you..
