Blood comes to the kidneys from the abdominal aorta and inferior vena cava, the large arteries and veins that are part of the ascending aorta.

The blood vessels that carry waste product to kidneys are afferent arteriole.

Waste products might be environmental toxins, urea, uric acid. These waste products are processed in the liver and then comes to kidney for elimination. The food that we take contains vitamins and minerals that are not considered as waste by the body, the liver processes are the things and sens the waste material for elimination by kidney.
