Lode Stone is available in nature in the form of magnetize mineral.
Compound of iron contained in Lode stone is Fe3 O4 - - magnetize.
It is black, opaque and has some metallic luster.
They are naturally occurring magnets which can attract iron.
Many years ago Magnetism property was discovered by a shepherd by using lode stone.
