The name of the connective tissue that assists in repair of other tissues is blood. Blood is considered as a connective tissue because it has an extra cellular matrix, which is composed of red blood cells, platelets and white blood cells among other components. The platelets in the blood plasma are responsible for tissue repair through the process of clotting.
-Blood is confined within the network of the blood vessels in the body.
-Blood as several functions which includes; transport of oxygen and nutrients, thermoregulation and transportation of excretion products to sites of excrete, just to mention a few.

Areolar is the tissue that repairs the tissues. It is present between the skin and muscles. They also surround the blood vessels and fill the space among the various organs.
