Phloem is formed of living as well as dead cells. These cells are of following four types: sieve tubes, companion cells, phloem parenchyma and phloem fibres. All cells are living except the Phloem fibres (Phloem fibres are dead cells). Phloem is a complex permanent tissue specialised to transport organic food manufactured by leaves to various parts of the plant.

heya.......
here's Ur answer......
PHLOEM: It is also called 'bast' and is a living conducting tissue, composed of four elements-•sieve tubes
•companion cells
• phloem parenchyma
• phloem screlenchyma (fibres)
FUNCTION OF PHLOEM
1) it transport food from leaves to the storage organs and later from storage organs to growing regions of the plant body.
2) phloem fibres of some plants are a source of commercial fibres e.g. jute, hemp, etc.
*expect phloem sclerenchyma all of them are living.*
