The current national president of Vijnana Bharti, India is Vijay P. Bhatkar. Vinjana Bharati is a RSS-affiliated outfit.

Vijay P. Bhatkar was formerly chair of IIT Delhi’s board of governors. He is an eminent Indian computer scientist and a Padma Shri and Padma Bhushan awardee.

He has also been appointed the chancellor of Nalanda University, India also. He led India’s supercomputing initiative by setting up the Center for Development of Advanced Computingm (CDAC) in Pune in 1987. CDAC  is responsible for creating Param 8000 and Param 10000. These two are India’s first supercomputers.
