Myopia and presbyopia

Explanation:

Myopia

Due to defects in the curvature of eye lens, the focal length of the lens decreases and the image of distant objects are formed in front of the retina rather than on the retina. This defect is called myopia or nearsightedness where the person can see nearby objects clearly but not the distant objects.

Presbyopia

The power of accommodation of eye decreases with time or ageing due to the weakness of the ciliary muscles. So, focal length of the eye lens cannot be changed appropriately and the power of accommodation decreases. This defect is called Presbyopia.
