what is an electroscope??

=> it consists a glass jar, in which a metal strip is inserted and two gold foil are hang without the metal strip. when we touch a charged body with the end of the metal strip. the gold foil receive charge. if the nature of charge is same, then the 2 gold foil will wide open otherwise they will stick to each other.
