The Pancreas is a elongated organ situated between the limbs of 'C' shaped duodenum.

The exocrine portion secretes an alkaline pancreatic juice containing enzymes which help in digestion and the endocrine portion secretes hormones, insulin and glucagon.

EXAMPLES OF SOME DIGESTIVE ENZYMES:

  1. Amylase
  2. Protease
  3. Maltase
  4. Lipase
  5. Lactase and
  6. Gelatinase
