Name the East West subdivisions of Himalaya. Do you think that the height of Himalayas and the peaks would remain same forever? Why?

In the west are greater himalayas ranges and in the east are lesser ranges.  They're are gaining height and will not remain same forever.

Explanation:

  • The west to the east subdivision of Himalayas includes the Kashmir Himalayas, that lies between the Indus River and Sutlej. This is called as Punjab Himalayas.
  • The Jammu and Kashmir, has covered peaks and deep valleys with interlocked spurs, 700 km in length and 500 km in width. Ladakh region belongs to the division is surrounded by the Greater Himalayas.
  • Kumaun Himalayas, that lies between the Satluj and Kali River. The major hill stations are Mussoorie, Nainital.
  • Nepal Himalayas, they stretch from the Kali River to Tista River. Important peaks are peaks is the Mt. Everest, Kanchenjunga.
  • Assam/ Eastern Himalayas occurs between the Tista and the Brahmaputra River in the states of Arunachal Pradesh, and Bhutan. The ranges pass through Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura and are called Purvanchal.
