1) an organic acid dehydrated by conc. sulphuric acid to produce two gases
2) an amphoteric oxide reduced by ammonia

1 . Ethanol

Ethanol with a large quantity of excess concentrated sulphuric acid on heating produces ethene and ethylene (ethene, C2H4) will be formed by dehydration when a mixture of ethanol and conC.H2SO4 .

2 . Aluminium oxide - Al2O3 .
