The water which is found under the ground within the spaces of soil and cracks of rocks and sand is known as Groundwater.

This stored water flows slowly as per the geological formations of the rocks, soils and sand. This is also called as aquifers.

This is an integral part of water cycle and is found in two speicific zones known as saturated and unsaturated zones.

As per the current researches this groundwater is drying up rapidly.
