Hi.
The gases which causes the acid rain are ⇒
Sulphur Dioxide.
It forms the Sulphuric acid in the air, when it comes under certain conditions. Thus, Causing the acid rain.
Reaction is
2SO₂ -------- O₂ + 2SO₃
SO₃ + H₂O ----- H₂SO₄
Nitrogen Dioxide.
It form the Nitric Acid which when mixes with the Water causes Acid Rain.
4NO₂ + 2H₂O + O₂ ----------- 4HNO₃
Hope it helps.

Scientists have discovered that air pollution from burning of fossil fuels is the major cause of acid rain. The main chemicals in air pollution that create acid rain are sulfur dioxide (SO2) and nitrogen (NOx).
