Salivary glands and salivary amylase...

Salivary glands in our mouth make salivary amylase which begin the digestive process by breaking down starch when you chew your food, converting it into maltose,a smaller carbohydrate..

salivary gland is associated with digestion of starch in human digestive system. this gland secretes a digestive enzyme called salivary amaylase which breaks down starch into maltose.

Gastric glands present on the walls of the stomach release HCl. HCl creates an acidic medium in stomach to facilitate the action of enzyme pepsin.
