Answer:

Pinus contain mycorrhizae roots.

Cycas contain coralloid roots.

Explanation:

Gymnosperm are mostly evergreen perennial plants. They are mostly shurbs or trees.

Mycorrhiza root

  • Pinus has a deep root system in which  main root does not go deep into the soil but the lateral roots extensively well spread out.
  • They show symbiotic association with fungus known as Mycorrhiza. It increase the uptake of water, minerals and Phosphorus by the plants.

Coralloid roots

  • In some plants  adventitious roots arise from primary roots.
  • The root forms a symbiotic association with Cyanobacteria which helps in nitrogen fixation from the atmosphere.
  • Due to presence of cyanobacteria the root shape become coralloid.
