thyroid secretes thyroxin hormone

it's function is to manage the amount of proteins,fats and carbohydrates in our body.

it is advised to use iodised salt bcoz it contains iodine which is extremely essential for production of thyroxin

It regulates carbohydrate protein and fat metabolism in the body so as to provide the best balance for our growth..

Iodine is essential for the synthesis of thyroxin. If iodine is deficient in our diet there is a possibility that we might suffer from goiter. One of the symptoms in this disease is swollen neck...
