Thyroid gland

Hormone secreted - Thyroxine

Function - Thyroxine has a major influence on physical and mental development after birth by controlling the rate of chemical reactions in all body cells.

Pituitary gland

Hormones secreted -

Thyroid Stimulating Hormone (TSH)

Follicle-Stimulating Hormone (FSH)

Luteinizing Hormone (LH)

Prolactin (PRL)

Growth Hormone (GH)

Alpha Melanocyte-Stimulating Hormone (α-MSH)

Vasopressin.

Oxytocin.

Function - It releases many hormones that control other endocrine glands.
It has many regulatory functions and therefore is known as master gland.

Adrenal gland

Hormone secreted - Adrenaline ( Epinephrine)

Function - Adrenal glands secrete hormones which maintain the correct salt balance in blood. Adrenaline helps to calm down when one is angry or embarrassed or worried.
