In tiger tiger revisited the poet uses the rhythm and structure of Blake's famous poem to draw attention to the plight of tigers in our modern world. While Blake's focus draws away from the tiger towards metaphysical questions concerning God as the creator of our world Ramel draws us back into the physical world and asks us to consider our attitudes towards large mammals such as the tiger and to Nature as a whole.

In the poem Gordon has made sarcastic remark on the future of tiger species.

He prays to God for giving us some mercy in human to save the tiger from merciless killings.
