The Key features of our constitution :-

(i) Federalism
(ii) Parliamentary form of government
(iii) Separation of powers
(iv) Fundamental Rights
(v) Secularism.

1. \bold{Federalism} :- This means that we have government at the state level and at the centre. It was very important to have another level of government so that decision could be made for that particular area.

2. \bold{Parliamentary\:form\:of\:government} :- The different tires of government consists of representatives who are elected by the people.

3.\bold{Separation\:of\:powers}:- There are three organs of the states :- The legislature , The executive and the judiciary.

4.\bold{Fundamental\:Rights:-} Fundamental rights are called the conscience of the Indian constitution.

5. \bold{Secularism}:- It is an important key feature of our constitution. A secular state is one in which the state does not promote officially any one religion as the state religion.
