we know that there are two types of reflection, which are :-

1. regular reflection
2. diffused reflection

=> REGULAR REFLECTION - if the incident rays are parallel to reflected rays, such type of reflection are called regular reflection. it takes place, if the the surface of reflection is smooth.

=> DIFFUSED REFLECTION - in this case incident ray are parallel but reflected rays not parallel. this is called diffused reflection. this reflection takes place when the surface is rough.
