The Central India Rivers are Narmada, Tapi, Chambal, Son, and Betwa. Most of the rivers in Central India flow from west to east, except for Narmada and Tapi. The Southern River Krishna, Godavari, and Kaveri flow eastwards into the ‘Bay of Bengal’. The ‘Narmada and Tapi’ flow westwards into the ‘Arabian Sea’.

Explanation:

  • The Chambal, Sind, Betwa, the Ken, the Son, originate from the north part of the Peninsula and they flow into the Ganga River.
  • The Rivers Narmada, Mahi, the Tapi and the Periyar discharge their ‘waters in the Arabian Sea’.
