If  n=1,2,3,4.... the electron is present in 41,2,3,4,.... orbits

If l=0,1,2,3... means the electron is present in s,p,d,f.... orbitals.

(a) n=3 means electron is present in 3rd orbit l=2 means  electron is present in d-orbital.so electron is present in 3d-orbital.
