mitochondria and chloroplast are semi autonomous organells. they are different from other as they have their own nucleus and they can perform as a cell and most of work can do they hv their own energy

Semi- autonomous organelles are those organelles which can survive on their own.

Mitochondria and Chloroplast are called semi-autonomous organelles and they are different from other organelles because of the following reasons:

- They have their own independent genetic material  

- They can independently replicate  

- They have their own DNA, RNA and proteins.

- During cell division, these organelles pass their own genetic material along with the cellular DNA.
