Question :-

Name the part of the eye that controls the amount of light entering the eye.

Answer :-

The iris controls the amount of light entering the eye.

The iris adjusts the size of the pupil . In case of bright light, the pupil is constricted and is called is light adaptation.

The iris dilates the pupil in case of darkness so that more amount of light can enter the eye. This is called dark adaptation.

Actually the iris controls the size of the pupil by the sphincter muscles which regulate the size of the pupil by contraction and relaxation .

Hope it helps !
