Pioneer species which is existing in hydro sere, of a water body, is formed of plankton like diatoms, phytoplankton, cyano bacteria etc., whereas the climax community in it is forest trees which are depending on the nature of the weather. In a hydro sere, there is a consecutive rise in biomass as well as biodiversity in the seral communities.
