Joseph Rudyard Kipling wrote the highly emotional and patriotic poem The Children's Song" in the 19th entury. He is an English author born in India Kipling speaks (sings) for all children of the country. hey are very grateful to their motherland for all good things that sne nad done for them. They promise to love her. Live for her in the land. They will serve her after growing God will help them when they call Him. Children inherit a grand heritage from their ancestors. God teaches them be steadfast, careful in youth and be truthful. Oh God, teach the children to rule ourselves nicely. If ever necessary they make useful sacrifices. We grow to be brave and not humbled by crowds. God give them strength that we cannot get by thinking or by working. Given them strength not to not to hurt the weak, but to help a man in distress Oh God teach them to take joy in simple things and to love all people. The believe that all Springs (seasons) are beautiful and eniovable The children praise their land of birth. In Motherland they grow to be brave and wise. They learn the discipline, religion, traditions and faith. She is the pride of all children. For her many ancestors died protecting her trom foreign invaders. So they promise with all their heart, mind and hands (ie., actions) to serve their motherland
