The predominant tribes in Nigeria are as follows :-

Hausa is one of the biggest tribes in Nigeria. People belonging to Hausa Tribe are indulged in works like raising cattle, growing crops, trading etc. The main religion of Hausa tribe is Islam. Daura is a city which is considered their spiritual center.

Yoruba is also one of the most influential groups in Nigeria. People belonging to Yoruba tribe practice both Christianity and Islam. They are religious and generally believe in old cultural traditions. Lagos is the main city of the tribe whereas Ife is their spiritual city.

Igbo tribe is more inclined towards the economic growth of Nigeria. They are involved in oil trading and also work as farmers, craftsmen, traders etc. The main religion of Igbo tribe is Christianity. The tribe has developed in fields like dance, music, visual art etc.

Fulani tribe has a good connection with Hausa tribe. Intermarriages takes place between these two tribes. Their main religion is Islam. The main occupation practiced by Fulani people is cattle rearing. Hausa and Fulani together have a good political influence in Nigeria.
