Hi,

If x is rational number , and x ≠ 0

then

x × 1/x = ( 1/x ) × x = 1

[ Multiplicative identity ]

Here ,

( - 1/5 ) × ( - 5 ) = ( - 5 ) ( - 1/5 ) = 1

Multiplicative identity.
