Carbon-14, 14C, or radiocarbon, is aradioactive isotope of carbon with an atomic nucleus containing 6 protons and 8 neutrons. Its presence in organic materials is the basis of the radiocarbon datingmethod pioneered by Willard Libby and colleagues (1949) to datearchaeological, geological and hydrogeological samples.

Satwika4: Dood I want the name of the name of radioactive radiation
Satwika4: I know that its carbon14
Anonymous: I answered it as alpha particle but I am not sure....
Anonymous: the correct answer is beta particle....
Satwika4: Hey
Satwika4: r u sure??
Satwika4: cuz its not mentioned anywhere in my book
Anonymous: yes I am sure.... because I know about the procedure of carbon dating.... c-14 changes into N-14....
Anonymous: I know it's not in book
