Ans : Akbar abolished Pilgrimage tax on Hindus in 1563.

It was Akbar who put a ban on the pilgrimage tax which was imposed on the people.
It was called as the jizya tax and was only on the non Muslims.
When Akbar came to know about this tax and way of collecting money from the people, he immediately put a ban on this and made sure the pilgrimages did not face any problem and had a safe journey.
