• On 'December 8th 1999' she set out for 'sail carrying millions of litres of crude oil'. She reached the 'Bay of Biscay near France' and was caught up in one of the storms rising in the 'Atlantic Ocean' and sank near there.
• It caused a 'huge environmental problem' because the oil seepage has destroyed the 'marine life in millions of kilometres'. It's damage can still be seen in various marine ecosystems especially the coral reefs in the region.
