Biochemical reactions takes place inside the cell. There are two type of biochemical reactions:

Catabolic (breakdown of large molecules into smaller ones,, releases energy)

For example: breakdown of carbs inside the mouth and release energy in a form of sugar etc.

Anabolic (small molecules join to make bigger ones, require energy)

For example: joining of amino acids to form a chain

Name the site for many biochemical reactions necessary to sustain life- THE CELL.

Biochemical process are those chemical reactions which carried out by living organism itself to convert a substrate into a desired product by feeding the substrate into its complex biochemical reaction pathways. Cellular respiration is the process in which the cells of living things break down glucose with oxygen to produce carbon dioxide, water, and energy.
