the site of dark reactions is the Grana, which is situated outside the Thylacoid.

dark reaction takes place in stroma which is fluid filled space in chloroplast present in cell.

adding to this,
the stroma has also got some enzymes as well to break down molecules.
the light reactions occur faster than dark reactions.
