Hey there!
Parenchyma is classified as a permanent tissue because the cells of the permanent tissue do not have the ability to divide. They are differentiated in different tissue types and perform specific functions.
Chlorenchyma: Parenchyma cells containing large number of chloroplasts. Present in leaf cells they take part in photosynthesis
Aerenchyma: Parenchyma enclosing large intercellular spaces. Provide buoyancy in aquatic plants.
Hope it helped!
