Ok there are 29 states of India:

Let's start from the north

Uttrakhand, Haryana, Himachal pradesh, punjab, delhi, Rajasthan and J&K(well now they split to J&K and Ladakh)

Let's go east

Uttar pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand and West bengal u must know those states aw well too.

West time

Then Gujarat, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Chattisgarh, Odisha and Telengana.

Time for North east

Then we got Assam, Meghalaya, Manipur and then u got Nagaland.

Then there's Arunachal, Mizoram, tripura which is near Myanmar.

Then finally u got the south Indian states

They are Kerala, Tamil Nadu ,Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh.
