The cell wall of fungi is made up of cellulose and chitin. Chitin and cellulose are are among the most abundant bio polymers in the marine and terrestrial environments respectively.  While cellulose is an organic compound with (C6H10O5)n being the formula and the most common in the Earth, chitin is a polysaccharide which contains nitrogen.
