hello!
The three characteristics of sound are:-
i)Loudness--->Loudness is the degree of sensation of sound produced in our ears. It is expressed in decibels (dB). It is a sensation and Is not measureable.
ii)Pitch--->It is the characteristic of a musical sound taht distinguishes a sharp and shrill sound froma flat and dull sound. Pitch can be felt but cannot be measured.
iii)quality or timbre--->This characteristic of sound which differentiates sounds having same pitch and same loudness but coming from different musical instrument is called quality of sound.
hope it helps... :)
