Matter:

Anything that occupies space and has mass.

States of Matter:

Solid: Atoms are closely held by strong Intermolecular forces and have very low Intermolecular spaces.

Some Examples:

Iron nickle, Gold ring, soap, e.t.c.,

Liquid: Atoms are held together by Intermolecular force which is very low as compared to Solids.

Some Examples:

Water, Cold Drink, Acid, e.t.c.,

Gas: Atoms are very far from each other and they have very low Intermolecular forces and huge Intermolecular spaces between the atoms.

Some Examples:

Oxygen gas, Hydrogen gas, Natural gas, e.t.c.,
