Answer:

crust Mantle and Core three layers of the earth crust is the uppermost layer of the earth in which the earthquake take place and the layers of soil are found Mantle is the middle layer of the earth which is between Crust and Core actually crust is divided into two parts The Upper Crust and the lower crust where as the core is the innermost part of the earth the core is 1300 kilometres in radius let me explain you this thing through an image the core is of two type inner and Outer Core see this picture

❇️Crust:

  • The crust is the outermost layer of the earth's surface.
  • The thickness of the crust varies from 5 to 8 km under the continental landmass.
  • The main elements that make up the crust are silicone, aluminum and magnesium.
  • The main components of the continental landmass are silicone and aluminum. Thus, is is called sial.
  • The oceanic crust is called Sima as it is made up of silicone and magnesium.
  • The density of the crust is less than 3 g/cc. The oceanic crust is denser than the continental crust.

❇️ Mantle:

  • The layer Below the crust is called the mantle.
  • The mantle is 2,900km thick.
  • It is mostly made up of silicone, iron and magnesium.
  • It's density varies between 3.5 and 5.5 g/cc.
  • The mantle consists of two layers - the upper mantle and lower mantle.
  • The average temperature of the upper mantle is 879°C, while the lower mantle has an average temperature of 2,000°C.
  • The mantle is in a semi-solid, plastic state.

❇️ Core:

  • The innermost layer of the earth is called core.
  • Its thickness is about 3,500km.
  • It is made up of nickel and iron and hence is known as nife.
  • It's density is about 11 g/cc. The core is divided into the outer and the inner core.
  • The inner core has a temperature of about 5000°C but is still in a solid state. This is because of the extreme pressure exerted by the weight of the rocks that lie above it.
