Retina(tunica nervosa). it is the innermost and incomplete layer. it is also formed of three parts.
1.Optical part. it is thick, pigmented and photosensitive part which is present along inner side of choroid. it forms posterior two -third part of retina.
2.Ciliary part. it is thinner only pigmented part present inner to ciliary part of uvea and both collectively form ciliary body. it is demarcated from the optical part by a small wavy area, ora serrata.
3.Iridial part. it is the thinner only pigmented part present inner to the iridial part of uvea and both collectively form iris. iris being pigmented, gives colour to the eye.
