"Ibn Batuta" was the traveller for whom the term- globe-trotter is used.

Explanation:

Ibn Battuta was a Muslim Berber Moroccan scholar and traveller of the "fourteenth century". He was an avid explorer and visited most of the lands in Asia, Africa and some parts of Europe observing the culture and way of living of the people in those countries. He spent quite some time in India during the Delhi Sultanate. He was very religious and was often consulted as an Islamic Judge. His first travelling expedition was his pilgrimage to Mecca on the holy Haj.

After all his journeys were over he dictated them distinctly to the Islamic scholar Ibn Juzzay in Arabic. It then became a great text of History and Travel. Its English translation is "A Gift to Those Who Contemplate the Wonders of Cities" and "Marvels of Travelling".
