The autonomic system is the part of the peripheral nervous system that is regulates involuntary body functions including digestion and heartbeat. Also it regulates and controls the glands, muscles and organs throughout the body.
The two subdivisions of autonomic nervous system are the sympathetic division and the parasympathetic division.
The parasympathetic nerves dilate blood vessels leading to the Gastro Intestinal tract, increasing blood flow.ANS is responsible for contraction and relaxations of urinary bladder and helps to release of urine.
